Production and refinement

A skillful blend of 80% Pinot Noir (from the prestigious Grand Cru sites of Ambonnay, Verzenay, and Bouzy) and 20% Chardonnay (from Avize, Oger, and Le Mesnil-sur-Oger).

Rêverie is vinified using the Champagne method, with an impressive 60 months of aging on the lees, of which 60% comes from reserve wines. It is an organic wine.

Visual exam

It has a beautiful bright light gold color, with a fine and persistent perlage.

Olfactory examination

On the nose, it expresses aromas of toasted apple, fruit compote, ripe peach, brioche, and spicy hints. Citrusy and floral notes emerge, along with a light minerality.

Tasting

On the palate, the attack is sharp and assertive. The mouth reveals a full yet always harmonious structure, with notes of red and white-fleshed fruits. The finish is long, silky, and of immense elegance. A signature Champagne.

Encry

La Maison is a small, independent Champagne producer distinguished by its commitment to quality and authenticity. It operates as an independent estate, vinifying exclusively grapes from its own vineyards, ensuring a direct and genuine connection to the land.

The cuvées of the maison come from the renowned Côte des Blancs, specifically from the village of Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, one of the most prestigious Grand Crus in the region. Here, Chardonnay reaches its fullest expression thanks to the unique terroir and traditional viticulture practices.

Encry

The Encry vineyard is located on the heights of Le Mesnil, where the dry microclimate protects the vines from spring frosts and limits the proliferation of fungal diseases.

Viticulture is focused on sustainability, with no use of chemical treatments, and is oriented towards biodynamics, a return to the roots to enhance the authenticity of the land and its viticultural expression. The production is entirely organic.

The vineyards of Champagne, stretching 150 km east of Paris, challenge the extreme conditions of the northern climate. Situated at the 49th parallel north, the grapes are cultivated with the help of the ocean's influence, which moderates the temperatures, and the extraordinary skills of the vignerons.

Average temperatures, just above 10°C, promote the slow ripening of the grapes, preserving their natural acidity. Despite the humid climate and frequent spring frosts, the region produces ideal grapes for Champagne, thanks to soils rich in chalk and other mineral components. The vineyards, spread over diverse terrains, extend across hills and plains, capturing the essence of the Mistral wind and the few hours of available sunlight.

Côte des Blancs

This is one of the five wine-producing zones of the Champagne region, characterized by the presence of outcropping chalk soils that significantly influence wine production. Chardonnay is the principal grape variety in this area, yielding Champagne of exceptional elegance.
